Hillbark (.) Hotel Description

The Yellow Room restaurant has rapidly established itself as a premier gourmet-dining destination. It is extravagantly furnished, creating an opulent yet relaxing candlelit ambience. Whilst enjoying an aperitif, guests can study the menu which offers an imaginative selection of English and continental fine dining, prepared by the Executive Chef and team, and complemented by a choice of over 100 fine wines from the first-rate cellar. Guests' tables are theirs for the evening and so reservations are essential. As an alternative, the Hillbark Grill has a rather more informal and contemporary atmosphere. Or, guests can choose to relax in one of the public rooms and enjoy afternoon cream tea or, perhaps, champagne and caviar. Private dining rooms are also available. Bed and breakfast stays include a continental breakfast.

Set in 250 acres of beautiful parkland and overlooking the scenic Dee estuary across to the hills of North Wales, the hotel's characteristic appearance hides a fascinating history. This magnificent Grade II listed building with historic features provides the finest luxury coupled with a discreet yet friendly service from the resident owners and their team. Set in a building dating back to 1891, the hotel is the perfect place to stay, with its 18 individually designed and lavishly furnished suites and bedrooms. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour check-out service, a hotel safe and a cloakroom, and a 24-hour room service and porter are available. It is the perfect choice for fine dining with exquisite cuisine served in the restaurant complemented by a splendid cellar. There is an on-site bar, conference facilities and a laundry service. Parking is available for those guests arriving by car.

Guests are advised to contact reception with their car registration details in advance if wishing to use the car park throughout their stay on 0151 6252400.

Each room has its own unique character and has been individually furnished to a very high standard, with sumptuous fabrics and bed linen, the finest handpicked furniture, the most comfortable beds and pillows and pure silk rugs. In-room facilities include a direct dial telephone, an LCD TV with terrestrial, satellite and film channels, a radio, broadband Internet access and wireless LAN capability throughout the building and grounds. Tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set, a hairdryer and central heating also come as standard. All bathrooms enjoy the finest quality fittings and have been decorated floor-to-ceiling with specially imported granite tiles. Suite bathrooms have a 2-person spa bath, a separate shower and an LCD TV.

Guests wishing to play a round of golf can visit the Royal golf course, which can be reached in 20 minutes on foot. Guests preferring a little more strenuous activity can head to the gym for a workout, and should the sun happen to be shining brightly, guests can find some shade under the parasols.
