The hotel faces the exit of the underground portion of a main highway, the Central Expressway (CTE). Beyond the CTE are the green grounds of the Istana. The hotel building is smaller in size being only six stories high and in white. The design is of the 70s genre.
Although outdated in design, the hotel provides excellent location for those who want to be in the heart of the shopping district of Orchard Road.

The rooms have a 70's style although most of the furnishing is refurbished. Carpets and soft furnishing were recently replaced. The bathrooms are simple and tiled in white and pink. Standing shower only in the standard rooms.

Located on Kramat Lane, the hotel is within 50 meters of Orchard Road. Within the immediate vicinity is the Istana or the Presidential Palace and the Le Meridien and Grand Central Hotels. The popular shopping mall, Centrepoint, is within a 5 minutes walk.
