As of April 1, 2021, VISITAX enters into force to facilitate the payment of the use of foreign tourism. It can be done from the web portal http://visitax.gob.mx/. Foreign tourists may cover it before their arrival or during their stay. As of January 1, 2017, tourists must pay an ISH rate per room and per night of occupancy under the concept of Environmental Sanitation Rights carried out by the municipality. This fee must be paid at the hotel.

Mexico?s natural border with Belize. Chetumal operates flights to and from Mexico City international airports. To arrive by car from Cancun, one must take federal highway Chetumal -Escarcega until reaching the town of Francisco Villa (Pancho Villa, km 62), then turn left (south) for almost 6 more km (4 miles). Besides these last 6 km. - you need to keep an eye out for signs to the resort ? the highway system is good and the scenery beautiful.
