Even if completely dipped in the wonderful atmosphere of a typical Venetian "campiello", Tintoretto Hotel is situated two passes away from the Casinò and not more far than ten minutes from the railway station and the famous Ponte di Rialto is not far.nThe hotel, fully refurbished, can count rooms, agreeably and simply furnished, all provided of bathroom, phone-set, television and air-conditioning. For the most romantic people, there is also the availability of a room with a view on "canale di S. Felice". Hotel Tintoretto offers to its welcome guests the right dimension for an intimate, unforgettable vacation. An eighteenth-century building, it is situated between the Church of St. Fosca and the bell tower. The latter collapsed in 1410 during a violent whirlwind and it was immediately rebuilt in the style we can admire today. It was rebuilt higher than before while the whole cell was built ex-novo; it has wide, double lancet windows, pointed stone arches with little copper cupola on top and typical Gothic corner aedicules.
The Church, the origins of which may be linked to the translation of the Saint’s body to Torcello in the tenth century, was built in 1597 and then demolished and rebuilt once again in 1679. About fifty years later the Church was badly damaged by a fire and underwent restoration, which was not completed until 1741. In the centre of Campo S. Fosca is a monument dedicated to Friar Paolo Sarpi who was assaulted and badly hurt on the bridge there.
There has been a hotel here for around 20 years, first as Pensione Hotel Da Nino and then Hotel Tintoretto . In 1995 it was completely renovated.

How to reach the hotel.
From the bus or railway station, catch the number one waterboat and get off at Ca’ d’Oro.
When you get off the boat, go straight on to the end of the street then turn left. Walk for around 5 minutes, crossing 2 bridges. The street widens a little and you will see Hotel Tintoretto on your right.
