Built in 1859, the hotel is a beautiful landmark located next door to The Alamo, Rivercenter Mall and one block from The Riverwalk. Public transport is available in the immediate vicinity and the hotel is close to the Amtrak rail station. There are restaurants, bars and shops within 2 minutes' walk of the hotel, and the city centre is also just 2 minutes away on foot. The city's museums are around 10 minutes away by public transport, while Austin is roughly 50 minutes away by car.
