This hotel comprises a total of 205 rooms spread over 5 floors, of which 25 are suites. It offers use of various facilities including a foyer with a fireplace, a reception desk, lifts, café and a newspaper stand. Furthermore, guests are able enjoy themselves in the bar with a house pianist, a nightclub, a games room and 2 restaurants, the Adlerstub and Älpli, the family restaurant with a games corner. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities. In addition, there is also playground for younger guests in the hotel grounds.
Buffets are served for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is served à la carte and dinner is offered as a set menu or à la carte.
The hotel consists of two very different types of buildings; one resembles a chalet and is very attractive with wooden balconies and the other is a modern styled building.
Most of the medium to large rooms have a balcony and have been decorated in a typical Swiss style using a lot of pine furniture and wooden beams. The rooms are in good condition as are the bathrooms. The rooms face the town of Grindelwald and although there is no Eiger view, they do offer Mountain views of the surrounding peaks.
Guests are offered an indoor pool and a sun terrace with sun loungers and sunshades in the hotel grounds. In addition, the hotel offers a health spa, which features a sauna, a solarium, a steam room and massage service for an additional fee. Further health treatments include Roman thermal baths, Finnish Block saunas, cosmetics, hydrotherapy, massage showers, floral steam baths and cold water baths. Sports activities on offer include tennis, (around 15 km away), squash, gym, billiards/ snooker (for an additional fee) and a golf course (also 15 km away). There is also an entertainment programme to provide some variation for guests. Moreover, pinball machines, table football and organised hikes are offered for an additional fee as well as a bowling alley which is located around 1 km from the hotel. This attractive hotel enjoys a central location, opposite the first cable car valley station and around 3 minutes from the centre of Grindelwald (200 m). It is located in the north of the Bernese Alps that feature the famous 4,000 metre high mountains of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the Bernese Oberland, within walking distance from the Eiger's world-famous north face. A ski-bus stop is located just in front of the hotel and Grindelwald is the nearest train station roughly 500 m away. In addition, there are cross-country tracks around 1.5 km away.
