The structure of this beautiful 2-storey building features an elegant French style, dating from its original construction in 1899, which is noticeable from any angle. Throughout the years, this building has played many different roles, beginning as a house, then becoming a hotel, after that it turned into a part of the military headquarters, until it finally was adapted again as a hotel, giving birth to what we now know as Gran Hotel Alameda.
