The Gran Hotel Benahavís is a new exclusive hotel located in the small white village of Benahavís in the Costa del Sol.
This picturesque location is known as the “Gastronomic Corner of the Costa del Sol” due to its 30 plus superb restaurants.
Surrounded by the Benahavís mountains with typical Mediterranean climate, low forest of aromatic plants and flowers, the village is only 60 kms from both Málaga and Gibraltar airports, 15 to 20 minutes from the fashionable Puerto Banús in Marbella.
The road that leads to the village runs parallel to the river Guadalmina through precipitous rocks, rising out of surrounding forests. The town is know to have been refuge and settlement to the Arabs, and is in fact named after the king’s son Havis “Ben-havis” (X Century).
From the Gran Hotel Benahavís you will enjoy outstanding views that will give you a splendid idea of the village and the surrounding terrain.
The hotel is built in an Andalusian “cortijo” style architecture offering a total of 95 rooms (80 double rooms and 15 suites).
All the twin beds can be converted into king size beds.
The hotel creates an intimate atmosphere. All rooms have been designed using luxurious fabrics and are fully air-conditioned with individual temperature control.
Several rooms offer large balconies to enjoy the beautiful views of Benahavis village or the surrounding mountains.
All rooms are equipped with private minibar, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box and ironing facilities. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower, bathtub, hairdryer and carefully selected amenities.
Two rooms have been adapted for handicapped clients and the entire third floor is strictly allocated for non-smokers.
The choice of entertainment and dining ensures guests are not just well looked after, but do not really have to leave the resort.
Taking advantage of the hotel’s culinary expertise is a must and the hotel’s restaurant and bar offer an ambiance suitable for any mood.
Lobby Café Rey Havís, La Palmitera Pool Bar, Las Angosturas and Los Molinos for banquets with a seating capacity for 300 persons in two levels with an terrace that overlooks our garden and pool.

How to arrive
When leaving the airport, take the A 7 towards Cadiz-Algeciras (you can also take AP 7 –toll high way-).
On this same road and after approx. 40 minutes you will arrive to Marbella (do not go into city centre), drive past Marbella on the ring road and through the next town called San Pedro Alcantara.
On the way out of San Pedro Alcantara you will pass under a white arch over the road with the name of San Pedro on it. Be prepared to turn off to the right (towards the mountain) at the sign of Benahavis which you will find 1 km approx. after you pass the arch.
Drive up towards the mountain for about 7 km till you reach a second round-about with a tower/fountain in the centre of it.
Once there do NOT drive to CENTRO CIUDAD. Take the road that goes to the right and drive past 2 electric towers.
You will drive up a small hill and in doing so take the first on your right (observe the sign).
Keep driving for about 300 metres and you will then see the hotel on the other side of the river.
