How to arrive
From the airport: motorway A2 (Barcelona) towards the city centre. You come in on Avenida de América towards Paseo de la Castellana, and then María de Molina. Take calle Eloy Gonzalo until the roundabout, la Glorieta de Quevedo, and then turn into calle San Bernardo. Continue along calle San Bernardo until plaza de Santo Domingo, and then go down la Cuesta de Santo Domingo. At end of this street, on the left corner, will have arrived at the Opera Hotel. Just in front of the Teatro Real de la Ópera.
Coming from the north: A1 (Burgos): Enter into the city on Paseo de la Castellana. Afterwards follow the same instructions as when coming from the airport.
Coming from the east: A3 (Valencia) East: Avenida del Mediterráneo, Paseo de Reina Cristina, and then continue on Paseo de la Infanta Isabel until calle Atocha. Then continue along this street and turn towards Paseo del Prado and then when you are in plaza de Cibeles take to the left towards calle Alcalá and turn slightly to the right to pick up Gran Vía. Go along Gran Vía towards the left (direction Plaza de España). When you are level with plaza de Callao, turn to the left and slightly to the right into calle Jacometrezo. Exit at Plaza de Santo Domingo. At end of this street, on the left corner, will have arrived at the Opera Hotel. Just in front of the Teatro Real de la Ópera.
Coming from the south: A4 (Andalucía) Sur (south), once in Madrid take the exit towards the M30; leave the M30 at exit 17, Virgen del Puerto/ Puente de Segovia, and then join Virgen del Puerto and take the glorieta de San Vicente, towards cuesta de San Vicente – Plaza de España. Continue until you turn to the right on calle Bailén and then turn into calle San Quintín. When you come to calle Arrieta. In the next crossroads, on the left corner, will have arrived at the Opera Hotel. Just in front of the Teatro Real de la Ópera.
Coming from the west: A6 (la Coruña): Entry at Moncloa, coming down calle Princesa, after turn to the right at Plaza de España, towards cuesta de San Vicente, then turn slightly to the right and then turn to the left to take calle Bailén. Turn to the left into calle San Quintín. When you get to calle Arrieta. In the next crossroads, on the left corner, will have arrived at the Opera Hotel. Just in front of the Teatro Real de la Ópera.
By taxi: Easily taken at the airport and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes (traffic allowing) and it costs around €30
By metro: Take line 8 (pink) from terminal 4 or terminal 1 of the airport as far as Nuevos Ministerios, then change to line 10 (dark blue) and go as far as Príncipe Pío, from there take the branch line (Ramal) to Opera and you will find the Hotel Opera a few metres from the station exit.
