The Finnish sauna at Holiday Inn IJmuiden Seaport Beach is an excellent way to relax and to get rid of all your stress. Take a cold shower after the sauna and you will feel reborn.
Apart from the sauna, the hotel also has a Turkish steam bath. The Turkish steam bath does not reach the high temperatures of the Finnish sauna. If you add Eucalyptus extracts, the steam bath has a mild and pleasant effect on your airways. A refreshing shower will also work after the Turkish steam bath.
At night you can enjoy a drink at the fire place or the terrace overviewing the Marina Harbor.
The hotel has 146 comfortable rooms, restaurant, bar and 13 mulitifunctional meeting rooms. 8 of our 16 suites have been furnished as Family Suites: specifically for families with children. Our Family Suites are divided into a living room, bedroom, modern bathroom and a separate toilet. The living room is equipped with a folding bunk bed for extra sleeping space, and it also has a second television.

How to arrive
By car
From Amsterdam/ The Hague/ Schiphol Airport: A9 towards Haarlem. Follow the signs Haarlem/Alkmaar. Take exit IJmuiden. Follow the signs IJmuiden. In IJmuiden follow the signs IJmuiden aan Zee. After 3 km you will find the hotel on your left-hand side. Take the left entrance at the roundabout (entrance parking)
From Haarlem: Follow A9 towards Alkmaar. Take exit IJmuiden. Follow the signs IJmuiden. See the above road direction. Mind your speed in IJmuiden, there are camera’s next to the roads!
By public transport
From Amsterdam: Take the train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk. Take bus 82 to “IJmuiderstrand” (busstop “Badweg”, 45 minutes.) This is the busstop in front of the hotel. In winter, after 9:30 AM the bus goes straight to “IJmuiderstrand”, otherwise you need to transfer to bus 4 at the “Dennekoplaan” in IJmuiden.
Another option is to take the Fast Flying Ferry, which leaves behind Amsterdam Central station. This boat takes you within 30 minutes to "Pontplein" in Velsen Zuid. There you can take bus 4 or 82 to "IJmuiderstrand", which both stop at busstop
“Badweg”.
From Haarlem: From Haarlem station you can take bus 82 or 4 to "IJmuiderstrand". The stop “Badweg” is about 5 minutes from the hotel. For time tables and route planning see www.connexxion.nl
Parking
There is a large public parking area of the Seaport Marina in front of the hotel where you can park your car. Parking fee is € 7,00 per day.
