The Meliá Sol y Nieve was totally overhauled in 2007. It mixes the classic style of its 176 standard rooms with the modern Zen style of its recently built 28 superior rooms and the avant-garde atmosphere what glass, aluminium, leather and bright colours create in its restaurants, bars and common areas. Sierra Nevada is the most southerly ski resort off Europe, and one of Europe highest resorts. With 87 Km. of ski slopes, more then 320 sunny days a year and 430 artificial snow cannons, guaranties sunshine and practicing ski, even when there its visitors a wide and ever expanding range of facilities for skiers, boarders and families, such as the recently developed Mirlo Blanco recreation zone comprising of activities such as ski bike, inner tubing, ice skating and the new roller-sled.
