Estremoz Castle is the result of the restoration of the magnificent palace built by King Dom Dinis for his wife, Queen Isabel. Top-quality building materials have been used to fit the building out with the finest décor, which includes museum pieces. Wonderful views may be enjoyed out over Estremoz and the vast Alentejo plains from the private palace gardens that are surrounded by battlements. A total of 33 rooms on offer on the air-conditioned complex whilst amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a lift, a safe and a currency exchange facility. Further offerings include a bar, a restaurant, a TV room, public Internet access, room service and car parking.
All meals are available in a buffet form; lunch and the evening meal may alternatively be taken à la carte or chosen from a menu. Specific dietary requirements may be catered to. It is possible to book a half-board, full-board or bed and breakfast only stay.
Each of the rooms comes with a full en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a minibar and central heating as standard.
Leisure options include a swimming pool with a pool bar around which sun loungers and parasols that have been laid out ready for use. Family games are organised and there are many off-site leisure options to take advantage of: themed tours, cycle rides, horse rides, hikes and shooting.
