Around the gardens are located the prominent French engineering school École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (abbreviated ENSMP and sometimes called Mines ParisTech) and the Odéon Theatre, one of France?s 6 national theatres. A 15 minute walk to the northwest of the hotel is the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés; the Sorbonne and the Pantheon are a 10 minute walk to the southeast.
