Since 1904 the hotel has provided accommodation for guests and tourists who travel to Porretta Terme for a restful holiday. A century later, in order to satisfy modern demands in caring for the body, it is no longer merely a hotel, but has become, thanks to a complete renovation, an advanced beauty farm, in terms of the structure, quality and the service offered to guests. The air-conditioned spa complex offers 48 rooms in total and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, cloakroom and lift access. Further facilities include a TV lounge, café, bar, restaurant, conference facilities, room service and a bicycle hire service. For an additional fee, guests may make use of the laundry service and the garage.
By car from the north: take the A1 Bologna-Florence motorway and get off at the Sasso Marconi exit (no. 14). Follow the SS 64 Porrettana highway south for roughly 45 km. From the south: take the A11 (Firenze Mare) motorway and get off at the Pistoia exit. Follow the SS 64 Porrettana highway north for roughly 35 km.

The swimming pool of Helvetia contain Thermal Water Salsobromoiodic whose beneficial properties are known since Etruscan times. This water thanks to the wealth of dissolved minerals (sodium chloride, sodium, bromine and iodine) is particularly suitable for muscular / tendon, vascular, and neuromuscular. The drainage characteristics and refreshing, making it ideal for stimulating the activity of the microcirculation, activate blood circulation and cell renewal.

This charming historical hotel is situated in the centre of Porretta Terme, a distinctive town along the Reno river at the point where it meets the Rio Maggiore river, and it is surrounded by the Tuscan Emilian Apennines' green hills and mountains. The Apennnine is a territory full of discovery where guests can follow peaceful trails, starting from the town's centre, for a relaxing walk or a full day trekking tour in the 2 big natural reserves of Corno alle Scale and the lakes of Suviana and Brasimone. Finally, there are the famous cities of art close by, such as Bologna (60 km away), Pistoia (35 km away), Lucca and Florence. The train station is just a 2-minute walk from the business hotel and the Corno alle Scale ski area is around 31 km away. The nearest beach is approximately 102 km from the conference hotel and Guglielmo Marconi airport is around 70 km away.
