For 300 years Taychreggan has stood alone on its own bay looking down the length of Scotland¿s longest and, some say, prettiest freshwater loch. The old stone house and ancient courtyard rests in its own 40 acres of garden and natural woodland. Its interior features beautifully furnished public rooms and accommodation for all requirements, from the compact and cosy to the spacious and sumptuous. When staying in a superior room there will be Sherry in your room on arrival. All have ensuite facilities, most have loch views. There is also an antique snooker table for use by guests during their stay. Outside, the loch¿s water laps gently against the shore and jetty, enhancing further a deep feeling of peace and serenity that surrounds Taychreggan - be warned; you may never want to leave. Please Note: It is not recommended to bring children under the age of 14 as there is not adequate facilities to accomodate them. This hotel is approximately 20 minutes drive from Oban.
The spacious, modern rooms each come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, centrally controlled heating, tea and coffee making facilities, and a king-size bed.
It is possible to play billiards at the hotel and to enjoy some wonderful walks in the surrounding area, whilst conditions are also ideal for those wishing to go fishing or interested in photography. Fishing equipment may be hired at the hotel.
