Playitas Hotel Description

Opened in 2006, this hotel is ideal for guests seeking peace and relaxation and offers exceptional views of the beach, the sea and the surrounding area.

It comprises a 2-storey main building and a 3-storey annexe with a total of 223 rooms, of which 69 are suites.

From the main building, at the foot of a hill, a small sloping lift takes guests to the other buildings which are arranged like a village.

The lobby houses a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange facility and a safe.

Further facilities include a supermarket with a wide range of products and an integrated newspaper stand, a hairdresser's salon, a bar, a nightclub, an auditorium, a games room, a conference room, a public Internet connection and a restaurant.

Younger guests may participate in the kids' club activity programme.

In addition, there is a self-service launderette with a dryer.

The reception can organise car hire, excursions etc.

A doctor on call and parking spaces complete the amenities on offer.

The hotel has direct access to the sea and extensive gardens.

The rooms feature a terrace or balcony, centrally controlled air conditioning, Internet access (for a fee), telephone, satellite and pay TV with flat-screen, a minibar (for a fee) and a hire safe as standard.

The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a separate shower and a hairdryer.

Beach towels are payable at reception, and dressing gowns are provided in the junior suites.

Sports enthusiasts can go diving, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing and Nordic walking, as well as play tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, billiards or miniature golf. It is also possible to workout in the gym, practice archery or take part in one of the aerobics sessions on offer.

    Lots of activities to choose from and excellent food and facilities. The App needs an upgrade to avoid the need to go to a shop each day to pay for your activities. That felt a bit 20th Century and inefficient.

    Positive: Great range of activities, good location, right balance to allow some relaxation. Food was excellent.

    Negative: App needs an upgrade to allow payment rather than having to go to a shop each day to pay. That part felt 20th Century.
