The San Gallo Palace is a new 4 star hotel in the centre of Florence. It is situated in Piazza della Libertà, one of the most significant areas of Florence during medieval times. The view from the hotel is the San Gallo gate, where the hotel takes its name, and it was the entrance of the city for noblemen through centuries.
The hotel opened its doors the 1st October 2003 and it combines the client’s requests with an elegant and relaxing atmosphere. The efficient services respond to the business or travelling guests’ necessities.

How to arrive
By plane:
The Amerigo Vespucci Airport is at 5km from downtown Florence. A taxi to the San Gallo Palace takes around 15 minutes. You can also take the shuttle bus service to the Santa Maria Novella Station, and take a taxi there for around 10 minutes.
By train:
It arrives at the central station of Santa Maria Novella. Then take a taxi or bus number 1 direction Piazza della Libertà.
By car:
- Coming from the north, take the Firenze Nord exit toward Centro and Viali di Circonvallazione. Continue towards Fortezza da Basso and Piazza della Libertà. When you arrive at the Piazza, turn left at the first traffic light and drive alongside the Piazza. At the next traffic light turn left again and the San Gallo Palace is at just 100 meters to the right.
- Coming from the south, take the Firenze Sud exit, then continue towards Centro and Viali di Circonvallazione until reaching Piazza della Libertà. At the Piazza turn left at the traffic light and continue straight ahead. The Hotel San Gallo Palace is on your immediate right.
