The May Hotel is an old Ottoman house transformed into a nice small, special
class hotel. The hotel is located in the Old Town, in an area called Kumkapi,
the palace of the fish village, and is really close to Sultanhamet. The hotel
is within five minutes walk of the Blue mosque, Grand Bazaar and all other main
attractions in the old city. The modern area, with the centre in Taksim, is
only a few kilometres away and is easily reached with a short taxi ride. The
hotel has just went into a deep renovation and now is maybe one of the best
hotels in the area.
