The hotel Cafe Cultura is an old colonial house, originally a family home and then the residence of the French Cultural Centre. It has been painstakingly and lovingly restored to a hotel by the current owners.
Small in size, the ground floor features a wood panelled library, reception, cafe and three large stone carved fireplaces. In the reception area an open galleried stair case leads to the bedrooms.
This hotel strives to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere where guests feel comfortable and at home while visitng Ecuador. Hotel offers wireless free of charge.
The Cafe is open daily from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm and serves breakfast and a simple daily lunch menu. English cream teas are served in the afternoon. A small private garden with chairs, table and hammocks is also available and guests may eat in the garden.
Each of the hotel's 24 bedrooms has a private bathroom and is individually decorated in keeping with the style of the house. The size of the rooms varies depending very much on the location of the room.
