Porto Bay Falesia Hotel Description

This hotel received its first guests in March 2008. It stands overlooking Praia da Fal¿sia in the charming town of Olhos de ¿gua, close to Albufeira in the Algarve. Facilities available to guests in the air-conditioned, 310-room beach hotel include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, currency exchange facilities and lift access, as well as a games room, TV lounge, bar and breakfast room. Guests may also make use of the conference facilities, car park and garage, and the hotel¿s younger guests may spend some time in the children¿s playground.     Room is fine (newly refurbished bathroom, but very cheaply done as shower does not stay upright in its holder). Also, there was a hair pin and a false eyelash (!) on the floor on arrival, which never got cleaned up.

    Breakfast is great, lots of options. Ate at the terrace restaurant, which was excellent and great value tapas.

    Very busy, loungers far too close together, but I guess it is summertime.

    Free late check out if the room isn’t needed (which is great), but unfortunately ours was required. The alternative for getting changed before leaving (the spa changing room) is not up to scratch - no air con and no hair dryer. An air conditioned room that you could book for 30mins each would be better.

    Positive: Food, location.

    Negative: Cleaning, very busy.
