By public transport: the large “bendy bus” 200E (E=Express) run by the company BKV leaves the airport every 8-12 minutes.
The BKV airport bus runs to Kőbánya-Kispest station, where Metro line M3 begins. Go from Kőbánya-Kispest station to Deák Tér station on the same line. From Deák Tér station it is a five-minute walk towards the Danube, or if you prefer, you can change to the beautiful M1 line (the second oldest metro in Europe) and go one more stop to Vörösmarty Tér station, from where you have a 3-minute walk.
Budapest Airport Minibusz (formerly Airport Minibus, operated by LRI) is an airport shuttle service seating 11 which can take passengers to any part of the city. You can buy a ticket at the Minibus stop at the airport, or online.
The Hungarian company Wizz Air runs shuttle buses between Budapest city centre and Terminal 1.
The shuttle services also offer transport from any part of the city to the airport.
Taxis are available at taxi ranks, although only one taxi company (Zóna Taxi) is authorised to use the airport taxi ranks. They have a fixed rate depending on the area of the city. A taxi from Ferenc Liszt airport to the centre of Budapest is about 4500-5500 HUF.
